Spartanburg – Robert Thomas Burdette, age 72, passed away March 2, 2010.
He was a son of the late Robert Thurman and Jessie Belcher Burdette.
Tommy proudly served in the United States Army and was a retired supervisor of Tietex International. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Tony Burdette and Karen of Spartanburg, David Burdette and Teresa of Chesnee, SC; three daughters, Donna Sadler, Debby Burdette and Tammy Burdette all of Spartanburg and a brother Jimmy Burdette and his wife Anne of Duncan, SC. Tommy was blessed with twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 2:00 to 2:45 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home with a celebration of his life to follow at 3:00 pm in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Mitch Trammel and Reverend Larry Padgett.

david and family we are so sorry for your loss.We wanted you to know know we loved your dad and all the fun times we had and shared when we lived beside you all in fairforest. He is in a much better place now he is in heaven and I am sure my dad greeted him at the gates of heaven as he came though the door.
