Pacolet, SC – James Edward West, age 81, husband of the late Lillie Mae Poole West, passed away on February 19, 2010.

Mr. West was born February 20, 1928 to the late Bernard and Laura Howell West. He was a Mason and Shriner at the 228 Trough Shoals Lodge. Mr. West was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. West is survived by a son, Larry Eugene West of Spartanburg; a daughter, Amber Dill (Cliff) of Jonesville, SC; and three sisters, Shirley Jones, Dot Freeman and Joanne Fleming all of Pacolet. He was blessed with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. West was predeceased by a son, Mike E. West and a brother, Wilbern West.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by Reverend Clifford Phillips.
