SPARTANBURG, SC– Joseph Michael Collura, 36, beloved husband of Trina Skasko Collura, died suddenly Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Born June 12, 1973 in Long Island, NY, Joe was the son of Joseph J. and Regina Amodio Collura. In addition to his wife of 12 years, Joe is survived by his two daughters, Emily Lauren and Sarah Grace; and two brothers, Christopher John Collura of Moore, and Andrew Patrick Collura of Greenville.

Spartanburg – Melissa “Lulu” Ann Thornton, age 42, daughter of James M. and Dorothy Goforth Thornton, died March 22, 2010.
In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by her companion, Jimmy Osborne; three sons, Michael Thornton, Charlie Lance and Stephen Osborne; four brothers, Michael, Billy, Lee and Bubba Thornton and a sister, Angela Tyler. She was blessed with two granddaughters and a grandson.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Spartanburg – Mary Caitlin Johnston Stokes, age 27, wife of Dennis Ashley Stokes, died March 18, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare.
Caitlin was born in Spartanburg on January 9, 1983. She attended Spartanburg High School and was a graduate of Wofford College. Caitlin was employed with the Woman’s Clinic and was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Spartanburg-Roger McDuffie’s valiant heart stopped beating on March 16, 2010, at Regional Hospice House after a ten-year battle with the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
Born in Greensboro, NC, on June 6, 1928, he was the only child of Roger Atkinson McDuffie and Lena Kernodle McDuffie.
Roger was a fortunate man in that his profession and avocation were the same. He loved to practice, perform, compose, arrange, study, and teach all forms of music, from the earliest to the most modern.
Spartanburg – Reva Fore Hughes, age 83, wife of 56 years of the late Herbert L. Hughes, Sr., went to be with the Lord, March 17, 2010 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Buncombe County, NC on April 8, 1926 to the late William Fore and Rosa Haney Fore. She was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Roebuck, SC – Sara Elizabeth Lee, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at White Oak Manor. She was the daughter of the late John Boyce Lee, Sr. and Etta West Lee.
Miss Lee is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves behind a niece, who loved her like a mother, Patsy Lee Smith and several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm today, Thursday, March 18, 2010
at Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Joel Gardner.

Pacolet, SC – Joel “Joe” Howard Snipes, Sr., age 43, husband of Tammy Gibson Hall Snipes, started a new journey with his Lord and Savior, March 13, 2010.
Joe was born in Charlotte, NC on March 8, 1967 to Sandra Cobbler Greer of Spartanburg. He was a son of the late Robert Hough. Joe was a member of Lucia Baptist Church of Stanley, NC and attended Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church and Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. He was a truck driver who loved people and enjoyed making them laugh.

Spartanburg – David Michael Kelly, age 50, beloved husband of Julie Smith Kelly, died March 11, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born June 8, 1959, David was a son of Sara Foster Kelly and the late John Francis Kelly of Spartanburg. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1977. David was also a graduate from the University of SC-Upstate and Converse College where he received a Masters degree in Education.

Roebuck – Bobby Ray Maynard Cole, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
Born on July 27, 1930, Mr. Cole was a son of the late Charles R. and Stella Parham Cole. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from age 15-22. Mr. Cole achieved recognition as the International Sales Champion for Interstate Engineering, Compact division. He was the owner and operator of his own business for many years. Mr. Cole was a member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church in Roebuck.
Spartanburg – Pravin Sumantlal Naik, age 49, passed away March 8, 2010.
