Moore, SC – Preston Nolan Clark, infant son of David and Christy Burroughs Clark, passed away on November 28, 2009.
In addition to his parents, Preston is survived by a brother; Andrew Burroughs of the home and grandparents; Robin Burroughs of Hodges, SC; Ruth W. Anagnost of Moore, SC and David N. and Judy Clark of Piedmont, SC.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Reverend Hub Blankenship and Dr. Russ Shinpoch.
The family will receive friends at their home following the service.

Spartanburg, SC – Gardner Eugene Carver, age 83, beloved husband of Othelia Messer Carver, passed away November 22, 2009.
Born in Asheville, N.C. on January 2, 1926, Mr. Carver was the son of the late Samuel Eugene and Irene Fuller Carver. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Carver was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Carver is survived by four step-sons, Donald, Lee, Richard and Barry Messer; three daughters, Sheryl Shank, Cynthia Raza, and Rebecca Bowman; and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Ernest Carver and a daughter, Gloria Adams.

Spartanburg, SC – Patricia Ann Yarborough, age 61, passed away Thursday evening, November 19, 2009. She was the daughter of C. L.Yarborough and the late Helen Vaughn Yarborough.
In addition to her father, Patricia is survived by her sister, Kathy Fuller and her husband, Ronnie; a niece, Kami Fuller; four nephews, Brian Fuller, Ronnie Norwood, Scottie Norwood and Kevin Yarborough. She was predeceased by her brothers, Wayne Yarborough and Dennis Yarborough; a step-brother, Jerry Norwood, and a step-sister, Sandra Lister.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2009, from 2:00-2:45 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Spartanburg – John (Jack) Mason Carlisle, Jr., son of the late John Mason and Janet Boone Carlisle, died peacefully Monday evening, November 16, 2009.
Born February 9, 1924 in Bennettsville, SC, Jack attended Bennettsville schools and Oak Ridge Military Academy. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Following the war, Jack enrolled in his beloved Clemson University to study architecture. He later moved to Spartanburg and worked for the late Harold Woodward, AIA Architects before traveling to Paris, France for one year to further his career and afterwards married Nance Reid Caldwell, of Spartanburg.

Inman – Josephine Johnson Jamison, age 89, wife of the late Ralph Wallace Jamison, died at Rosecrest Retirement Community on Thursday, November 12, 2009.
A native of Springfield MA, She was born on July 19, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred Johnson Rhodes. Mrs. Jamison retired from Hampden Engineering in East Longmeadow, MA as an administrative assistant. She was a singer on the “Blues in the Night” radio show in Springfield, MA and with the Ralph Jamison Orchestra. Mrs. Jamison was also a member of the Nile of Springfield, MA and El Bethel United Methodist Church of Spartanburg.

Spartanburg – John Augustus Weaver, age 70, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 surrounded by his family after a valiant fight with cancer.
A native of Gaffney, Mr. Weaver was born on July 28, 1939. He was the son of the late William Clarence Weaver and Carrie Weaver Parker. Mr. Weaver was the owner of P&W Tire Service and served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.

Lyman, SC – Frederick Jacob Lutot, age 73, husband of Helen Marie Boland Lutot, passed away November 10, 2009.
Fred was a volunteer for Mobile Meals, a member of Joy Lutheran Church of Moore and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by a son, Peter Lutot and his wife Kathy of Budd Lake, NJ; two daughters, Janice VanDerWerf and her husband John of Lakewood, CO and Wendy Flynn and her husband Dennis of Taylors, SC; a brother Robert Lutot and his wife Nancy of Cheektowaga, NY and a sister Catherine Paznek and her husband, Larry of Kearny, NJ. Fred was blessed with five grandchildren.

Spartanburg – Frederica Katherine Christman Cox, age 73, passed away on
Friday, November 6, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare. Born May
24, 1936 in Harrisburg, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frederick
and Shirley Jenkins Christman. Frederica was a dedicated mother and
grandmother. Fredi, as she was known, worked as a nurse for over 35 years. She loved reading, playing the organ and spending time with her dogs. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and was a former choir member.

Cowpens, SC – Kenneth Wayne Mills, Sr., age 59, husband of Christine Hussey Mills, passed away at his home on November 8, 2009.
Kenneth was born in Gaffney, SC on May 6, 1950 to the late Thurman OR and Martha Francis Inman Mills. He was a retired manager in the food service industry. Kenneth faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Spartanburg – Lee Sterling Poole, 27, went to heaven to be with the Lord on November 8, 2009. Lee was born May 2, 1982 in Greenville, SC. He was the beloved son of John S. and Lynne White Poole. Lee was a graduate of The McCarthy/Teszler School and attended The Visions Program at The Charles Lea Center. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg.
In addition to his parent’s, he is survived by a brother, Brad Poole of Hanover, New Hampshire; paternal grandfather, W. Lamar Poole of Greenville and loving aunts, uncles and cousins of Greenville and Columbia. Lee was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Patricia White Poole of Greenville and his maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Sophia Johns White
of Columbia.
